The Vampyre Has Risen!

Can feel it? There is a sudden chill in the air and the night sky is just a bit darker. Even though you might try to nervously shrug it off, you know that something powerful has come to be. What is this new force that is casting such an ominous shadow? It is a Vampyre.

The BockBass by Warwick Vampyre
The Vampyre is Warwick's newest addition to the highly successful RockBass line, and it is like no Warwick you have ever seen before. The solid alder body features a dynamic new design which instantly grabs your eyes and won't let them go. The sleek, black high polish finish contrasts perfectly with the chrome hardware, creating a look that is both sinister and sexy. The 24-fret maple neck is paired with a rosewood fingerboard, and that is a neck you can definitely sink your teeth into.

For electronics, the Vampyre comes loaded with an active MEC Twin-J pickup in the bridge position and an active MEC J pickup in the neck position. The 2-band, active onboard preamp gives you loads of tone control and flexibility. All in all, this bass has deep, throaty lows, edgy mids, and clear, biting highs.

When you build a bass like the Vampyre you know it is going to played loud, long and hard. Keeping that in mind, Warwick took special care to make this bass sturdy and reliable. Also, for those bassists who like to play all night long, the Vampyre's longer upper horn makes it balance perfectly when strapped on. Best of all, like its namesake, the Vampyre is extremely hard to kill.

Prepare yourself - the RockBass Vampyre should start appearing in music stores in March of 2003. This special instrument is destined to become all that its name implies, which means to say that your musical vamping with be on fire! Be sure to ask you favorite RockBass dealer to let you know when the Vampyre arrives so you can be the first in town to feel its bite.
